Our Approach to Learning

Imhotep Academy offers a comprehensive and academically enriching curriculum that nurtures self-esteem, self-awareness, and a love for learning from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Our curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, writing, and hands-on learning, helping students develop skills and confidence as they progress through the grades. We provide a strong foundation for college-level coursework through honors and advanced classes, ensuring a seamless transition to higher education.

Kindergarten Academy

PreK-4-K

Imhotep Academy’s pre-K curriculum focuses on heritage, language arts, math, science, social studies, arts, and health/physical education. It emphasizes self-esteem, self-awareness, love for reading/math, and connections between subjects, fostering a holistic approach to early learning.

Young Learners Academy

1st-3rd

Emphasizes multi-level guided reading, enVision Math, progressive science, social studies with diverse perspectives, foreign language, arts, health/physical education, and general music for a well-rounded education. Students develop foundational skills exploring various disciplines, promoting curiosity and engagement.

Junior Learners Academy

4th-5th

Fourth grade covers language arts, math, science, social studies, foreign language, arts, health/physical education, and general music. Fifth and sixth grades focus on reading across disciplines, various math concepts, hands-on science, diverse social studies, and continued foreign language exploration. The curriculum encourages critical thinking, creativity, and exploration, preparing students for advanced learning.

Preparatory Academy

6th-8th

Imhotep Academy offers a challenging preparatory curriculum focusing on depth and complexity. Classes are writing-intensive, hands-on, and emphasize critical thinking. Students transition to high school-level courses with honors and advanced coursework while maintaining a strong mentoring relationship with faculty. This comprehensive approach fosters academic excellence, leadership, and preparedness for future success.
